Lego City Undercover on 3DS

I finally bought Lego City Undercover : The Chase Begins. I know I said months ago that this was going to be a day one purchase...but I got busy and never bought it...until NOW! I'm not to far in the game yet, but I can tell you that it's pretty impressive so far. Only thing I wish was different so far is the lack of voice acting. There is voice acting in the cut scenes, but other than that it's all text. Not a deal breaker just a little disappointing. I will give a full review once I complete the game.

Kid Icarus: Uprising Controls

Let me start off by saying that Kid Icarus Uprising is an amazing game. There is not one thing about this game that I do not like. However Kid Icarus did get a bad rap for it's control setup. Gaming magazines and websites were complaining of hand cramps and other annoyances. The average consumer when reviewing the game does not complain about the controls. So having read the critics and the consumers reviews I went ahead and bought Kid Icarus Uprising.

As you can see in the picture above Pit is moved with the left stick and the camera is controlled with the stylus. The left trigger is used for your primary attack. I've had no problems with this setup. I thought that I would but nope, they feel very natural. I will say that you will need to play it for a few minutes to get the hang of it. Once you do you will be rewarded with a very unique and great control setup.



This is a beautiful game

 However let's say that you don't like the control setup. Kid Icarus let's you fine tune and change basically every button to your own liking. Not only that it let's you try out your changes instantly. I've never seen a game with so many control options. So don't be afraid to buy Kid Icarus based off the rumour of poor controls. This is by far one of the most unique and fun games I've played in a very long time.

PS3 3D Display Review

The PS3 3D Display has been on the market now for a few months. It's initial price tag was $500, that's a big chunk of change for a 24" TV. However this TV has some insanely high specs.

The TV works great for gaming. Even when not playing in 3D my games look significantly better.  I had been playing on an LCD that refreshes at 60Hz at 1080p.  It's amazing how much better a game can look on the PlayStation 3D Display.

The coolest part is the SimulView feature. SimulView technology is unique to the PlayStation 3D Display in that it significantly enhances two-player mode in many games. Ordinarily, two-player mode is played in split-screen format. With SimulView technology, each player gets their own full (2D) HD screen while wearing the PlayStation 3D Glasses. It sounds crazy and futuristic but it works. So no more looking at your friends screen while playing(no more cheating).

Here's the best part as of yesterday Walmart has dropped the price to only $299. At that price this is one of the best TV deals I've ever seen. You get the newest technology for an extremely low price. If your looking for the ultimate way to play your PS3 this is it. If your looking for a cheap but awesome new TV for a bedroom or office you wont find a better deal.
